Wii Virtual Console Wads
I simply combined the two, and expanded the instructions supplied by stev418. Also a thank you to for introducing me to this method. EDIT: Google Chrome doesn't like the file very much. I guess it doesn't like bin files? The file is safe, I simply zipped the folder containing wwPacker and stev418's mod.
Wii Virtual Console Games. All Wii Virtual Console Games. Release Date. Coming Soon Out Now Cancelled. News Hold Me, Virtual Console Data Has Been Discovered In The Nintendo Switch eShop. I will be posting VC wads in this section. If you want games for other regions just ask for them and I'll post them. Most are NTSC unless specified. The main purpouse of Wii WAD files is to install custom made channels and cIOS, but they are also considered to be an equivalent of the ROM and ISO files majority of which are warez. Wii Homebrew Browser or WAD Manager can be used for an easy installation of WiiWare roms and Virtual Console roms that can be downloaded from torrents without. The following is a list of the 397 games available on the Virtual Console for the Wii in North America. These games can also be played on Wii U through Wii Mode, but lack the additional features found in Wii U Virtual Console releases.
✗ ✓ ✓** Hardware emulation on 3DS. No link features.
Use “u8pack_v0.08_eng.exe” and hit “Open Archive” to open 00000000.app 24. Highlight “banner.bin” the click “Add a File” to replace it with the banner.bin you edited. Highlight “icon.bin” the click “Add a File” to replace it with the icon.bin you edited. Under “Type of U8″ select “U8 Archive w/ Banner Info w/ MD5″ and fill out the information on the right.
You will use WAD manager to install the VC/WiiWare game wad files. Then you will need to go to Wii settings, data management, channels and MOVE (do not copy) the VC/ WiiWare games to the SD Card. Keep in mind the Wii doesn't have much internal memory so you will probably only be able to install 3 to 4 games at a time (depending on the size of the VC/WiiWare game) then you will need to MOVE them to the SD card before installing more (Just keep an eye on the blocks you have left). Click to expand.OK I've done all this but oddly my WAD files fail to load from the SD card unless there also on the Wii internal memory at the same time. If I copy from Wii to SD card then the WAD file will load OK from the SD card as long as the WAD file is in the Wii internal memory but if I move the file and try to launch from SD card it merely says failed to launch. I've got fw 4.0 and like I say the games wil load from SD only if they're in the Wii internal memory at the same time.
2nd is apps folder. Now this is my apps folder, and unless you have done homebrew before, you should only have wad manager 1.3 in here, as you can see highlighted by the mouse.
Of course, compatibility isn't that high, especially for games with custom hardware, but it's a start. Wii [ ] • ShowMiiWads Wii U [ ] • DS VC: The roms are stored in regular DS ROM format (.nds), in a.7z folder. There's also a config file with a brightness setting, and an option to change internal 3D resolution that Nintendo didn't use for some reason. Just change the line 'RenderScale': 1 to have the value 2 instead. Compatibility List [ ] Main article: Input Key [ ] Virtual Console games come from many different systems and have to be mapped to those on the supported console, sometimes having to be mapped to different controllers. Even then, at times (notably emulated Nintendo 64 games), mappings may not be consistent. Wii games in the Virtual Console support the Classic Controllers (which were made with the purpose of the Virtual Console) and GameCube controllers.
If I had to inject Teenage Mutant Turtles 4: Turtles in Time, I have to type in simply 'TMNT 4' in the field.) Once you have everything filled in, click the 'Start!' Wait for the injection to be done. If it gives you a runtime error, just start again. When the injection succeeds, you will be left with an output WAD named 'VC-[Channel Title] in [Base WAD].wad'. If you have downloaded and extracted the Devilken's Injector archive, open up the folder you extracted it to.
One other thing to try is once USB Loader GX starts up exit back out to the Wii System Menu then try launching USB Loader GX from the Homebrew Channel and try launching those games again. The CIOSes may be an issue but we will troubleshoot that after to get back to me with the other things I asked first. Click to expand.I am launching the.dol file; I didn't really install a forwarder, thought I didn't need one. I guess I'll just deactivate autoboot and launch everything from the HBC until I get things to work, then see about it. I'll look up the revision number in two days (or, hopefully, tomorrow); if it helps, though, I recall downloading the.dol no longer than a week ago from (the file suggested in the main page).
Look for the 'banner.bin' file within the 00000005.app folder ( DO NOT LOOK FOR THE BANNER.BIN FILE WITHIN AN EXTRACTED 00000000.APP OR YOU MAY BRICK GUARANTEED), and delete anything that is filled in the title field. Type in the game title from there. Make sure that it does not exceed over 20 characters as with the WAD title, and for some cases type '^' to separate the title into two lines as with the brlyt file.
If you want to un-mod your Wii because your current mod job is causing problems, find a better tutorial, start over. Is a fabulous wiki about all things modding for your Wii.

Some e-Reader or rumble features restored as game-specific hacks. ✗ ✓ No link, online, or DSi support. ✓ ✓ ✓ Various Namco, Capcom, Sega and Tecmo boards. *A *New* 3DS is necessary if you want to play SNES games through the 3DS Virtual Console.
So recently I got back into modding my Wii, and I decided I wanted to install some more Virtual Console wads. Previously the only VC wads I had installed were SMB2, SMB2 The Lost Levels, SMB3, and Mario Kart 64, which I'm pretty sure were all PAL when I downloaded them. However now I can hardly seem to find any PAL VC wads, but I did find a heap of NTSC wads which I downloaded. I picked out a few and converted them to PAL using Free The Wads GUI, and installed them on my Wii using YAWMM. Some of them, namely Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, and Pokemon Snap appear to be working, as the 'You will need the Classic Controller' screen comes up (I haven't actually got a classic controller yet to know for sure, but I have ordered one). Some others like SMB, SMW, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Excitebike aren't working at all though. When I start the channel the screen goes black, the Wiimote won't sync and I have to hold down the power button on the Wii to turn it off.
Test it and it should work no problem. And that's how to get NTSC Virtual Console games working on a PAL Wii. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am not the one who created these programs, credit goes to alpha0000 on gbatemp () for wwPacker, and stev418 for the modified bin files ().
You go into menu options> data management and it tells you how much system memory (blocks) you have left. If you goto channels from the options you can pick the game you want to move to the SD card in a fashion much like working with saved files off an PS2 memory card. Hope that helps. Been learning all this myself lately and your right- information is out dated usually.
Or you can pick up a special $50 Wii Adaptor and plug a network cable in. Once you're online with the Wii Shopping Channel you'll be able to find all the Wii Virtual Console games. The games cost Wii Points to download and you can get 2,000 for a $20 card at video game stores, or with a credit card. 100 Wii Points = $1 so most games cost $5-$8. Armed with Wii Points, you can download the games you want. Downloaded games show up on your Wii Channels so you can play them whenever you want.
Type in the game title from there. Make sure that it does not exceed over 20 characters as with the WAD title, and for some cases type '^' to separate the title into two lines as with the brlyt file. The second line will only be displayed after you click on the save icon from the Wii Menu and you are given the option to copy, move or delete it. Once that is done, click Inject. You will be left with an edited banner.cfg.txt file, as well as edited WTE files. After that, look for a certain text document within the 00000005.app folder.
If someone has a solution to my problem that would be great. Click to expand.I did what you said by changing the regions using ShowMiiWads instead of FreeTheWads, and installing the Wads with Wii Mod Lite instead of Yet Another Wad Manager Mod. Unfortunately when I load the channel I get the same result, black screen, no response, have to hold the power button on the Wii.
If it is launching the main.dol file there's a possibility that you are using an old version. What version of USB Loader GX are you using. Please don't say latest or 3.0. I need the revision number like 1260 (which is currently the latest). You can find out with in the setting or look in the lower left hand corner when it starts up.
• An Ocarina of Time ROM, version 1.0 in USA/NTSC format. (NOTE: DO NOT EDIT MD5 Hash!) 27. Click “Create Arch.” and overwrite 00000000.app 28.
The majority of these are NTSC, but will work on a PAL console. Be sure to enable the region setting in Priiloader. 16+ GB in total.

If you have your game working properly, and the banner, icon and save icons working properly as well, then install the WAD on your Wii from an SD card, USB drive or even FTP server, and enjoy! Happy injecting! Click to expand. Not eShop in the case of Wii, it's Wii Shop Channel. This tutorial is for universally injecting Wii VC WADs to run ROMs via these WADs. The only required WADs for N64 injection for Wii and vWii (NOT Wii U) are Sin & Punishment, Ocarina of Time and to a lesser extent Majora's Mask, Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64.
However, I will not be covering those here. Only downside is, even if you do everything correctly, there is a chance that your game might not work, or partly not emulated correctly. This is especially the case with Nintendo 64, Neo Geo, Sega Master System and Commodore 64. Click Console Mode on the top, and select the console you want to inject. Then select a ROM on the left field, and a WAD on the right field. REMEMBER: Both the WAD and the ROM have to be the same console, or it will not work!! The injector also needs a custom channel title for the injection to work.
2) Put your NTSC wad into the wwPacker folder. I recommend you start with one at a time. 3) First you need to ascertain what IOS your VC wad uses. Drag your wad onto the file called 'WadDataInfo.exe'. This will result in a screen popping up with information about the wad. You need to look at what IOS it uses, e.g. Ek haseena thi serial ringtone zedge. IOS9, IOS53 etc.
Technically, some have managed to get it to boot in normal 3DS mode, but its emulation suffers from huge slowdowns. **Ten GBA games were released exclusively to 3DS 'ambassadors', who bought the system before its price was dropped. They are unavailable to those who did not purchase the system before its price drop. Game Injection [ ] VC releases consist of the emulator and the included ROM image, but it's possible to replace that ROM image with another one and load it using various homebrew tools out there.

Wii Virtual Console Wads
If everything appears to be working on Dolphin, open the WAD itself to make sure that the game works properly. Again, there is a chance that even if you do everything correctly, the game might not completely or partially work, especially with N64, Neo Geo, Master System and Commodore 64. If the game doesn't appear to work, or doesn't work at all, I am sorry that your injection does not work and I apologize for that. But if your WAD works 100% on Dolphin, then congratulations! You have passed this tutorial successfully!
Now i know what your thinking, 'OK, once i figure out how to do this, i am going to find a website that distributes wad files and install them to my hearts content.' Even though the laws get a bit shadey when dealing with downloaded pirated content, DO NOT DOWNLOAD A WAD FILE YOU DID NOT ORIGINALY PAY FOR!!! If you do and get caught, it is not my fault.
Have you botched the modding process? To answer a common question on botched installs; NO you do not have to undo anything. As long as your Wii is still (mostly) functional, find some help, start the modding process over. You (almost) never need to undo what you've already done. Un-modding your Wii Simply put; No. It can be done to an extent, but there are some things you will never undo.
• A WAD installer of your choice. • The Ocarina of Time Randomizer of your choice, either,. • An Ocarina of Time WAD in USA/NTSC format. • An Ocarina of Time ROM, version 1.0 in USA/NTSC format. Click to expand. It is indeed possible to play NTSC WADs on a UK Wii with >=4.0 FW. Just use Startpatch and you can patch the Wii to allow any region channels to run, among other things. Here's the URL: You'll find versions for all firmwares and regions here. Please remember to read the instructions, and be careful! Now, onto my problem. I, too, am having trouble moving and playing WADs from my SD card, same as Oldman111 above. I am currently on 4.2, having updated using the Safe 4.2 Updater available here: with HBC and Larrylje's patched IOS60 installed.
