When you're asked where you want to install Windows, select the BOOTCAMP partition, then. • Follow the onscreen prompts to finish installing Windows. Depending on which Mac you have, you can install Windows 7 in 64-bit or 32-bit version. If you don't know which Mac you have, choose About This Mac from the Apple menu. Then find your Mac in the tables below and click a download link next to it. • A 4 or 5 links to a manual download for the related version of the Windows Support Software (drivers) that you need to install Windows 7 on your Mac. • A dash (–) means that this version of Windows 7 isn't supported on this Mac.

Hello, i have a 15 inch mac powerbook g4. I recently bought a new Ipod touch 4 gen. My problem is that with my old powerbook, it does not contain the proper software to sync with my new ipod. You see you can't copy and paste between Mac and Windows programs. And when you want to run a Windows program, you have to close everything you were working on, shut down the Mac, and restart it in Windows - and then reverse the whole process when you're done. This can become quite time consuming and annoying if you need to regularly switch between the two operating systems. So what is the solution to this problem?
I have an old PowerBook G4 12' with 1,25 GHz and 786 MB RAM, actually MacOS X 10.4.11 is installed. I'd like to give it to my son, but he likes (among others) to use learning games/software, which are made for Windows (.exe). • What is the best way to run Windows Software on this old Mac?

After reading instructions on how to install I loaded the disk and restarted, holding down 'C' to boot the disk. Just went straight to OSX. I then tried booting to firmware and typing 'boot cd' and got error 'boot cd load-size=0 adler32=1 LOAD SIZE is too small' I then tried booting to firmware and typed 'boot usb 0/disk@1:2, yaboot' I tried this replacing 'usb 0' with 'usb 1' and 'usb 2'.
So here's my dilemma. As recommended, I bought a CD for Os X 10.4 Tiger to install on this machine. It is like new and unused, so no issue there. But upon booting from the optical drive and going through Apple's EULA or Terms of Service or whatever fancy thing it's called, it tells me that it can't install because I have to have Os X 10.3 to install 10.4 (Keep in mind there is no OS on the laptop, so when you turn it on it shows a white screen with a blinking folder and question mark) The system also can't boot from USB (and I had one heck of a time trying to make an Os X boot drive anyways and never got anywhere) So I can't make a boot drive and do it that way. My mind started trying to come up with solutions, and I think I have one but I need someone to verify it for me so I can be sure it would work. So I'm sitting at my desk trying to brainstorm and BOOM! I had an idea.
Installation & Setup I have a multiboot win7 /xpx64 TWO DISK system, showing win7 as the C; drive and XPx64 as D: when examining via My Computer. Cloned the C: drive (win7) using Samsung tool to same size Samsung evo SSD. When put in computer the dual boot option gone. The SSD clone of win7 runs ok, but with that in.
And why not clear that up here? First, from here. For this example I am downloading the FreeBSD-10.1-RC3-powerpc-memstick.img version of the image (which is the version tailored for USB flash drives) and saving it to the ~/Desktop. First, let’s open up the Terminal and go to the desktop like this: cd ~/Desktop Now, with the USB flash drive plugged into the computer run this command to get the filesystem name of the USB device: df -h For this example, let’s assume the device is named disk1s1. Now we’re going to unmount the USB flash drive from the command line like this: sudo diskutil umount /dev/disk1s1 Okay, with disk1s1 unmounted, run the command to copy the contents of FreeBSD-10.1-RC3-powerpc-memstick.img to the USB flash drive on /dev/disk1s1: sudo dd if='FreeBSD-10.1-RC3-powerpc-memstick.img' of='/dev/disk1s1' bs='10240' Now wait for it to finish copying. And when that is done, you will have a bootable USB flash drive with FreeBSD-10.1-RC3-powerpc-memstick.img on it.

I obviously had one activation of Office 2010 on Windows 7. When should I expect a response? I was promised a response to my suspected counterfeit report and have never received one. Why do I even need another activation on Windows 10? Microsoft office 2013 activator download.
I only have two ports so I guessed the one I was plugged into had to be named either 0, 1 or 2. Each time the screen flicked briefly to text appearing half way down the left side, but then flicking to a grey blank screen with a No Entry sign. I read some information saying that a partition is required to install Ubuntu but when I tried this a message appears in disk utility saying I can't partition because the disk contains the start up volume. Thinking about the error message booting with the disk 'LOAD-SIZE is too small' I wondered if maybe I'd burnt the wrong software.
• The keyboard and mouse or trackpad that came with your Mac. If they aren’t available, use a USB keyboard and mouse. • If you're installing Windows 7 64-bit or 32-bit, you also need a 16GB or larger USB storage device or drive formatted as MS-DOS (FAT) to install Windows Support software (drivers). Newer Mac computers require newer versions of Windows.
Can someone please help me out here? It seems Ubuntu is the only way I'll be able to keep this fantastic piece of kit running safely. Thanks in advance. Thanks for the link Bob. It uses software to emulate PC hardware and create a 'virtual machine' running alongside the Mac operating system, giving instant access to any desired Windows applications.

It's in very good condition and the dvd drive has had hardly any use, so I doubt there's any issue with it working. Besides which, I don't have the original boot disks, otherwise I might have tried the partition during installation.
